Civic-minded restaurants in Rappahannock, Culpeper, Fauquier, Madison and Orange counties are supporting Hospice of the Rapidan's service to the community by participating in a major fund raising effort.
Adventures in Dining is a coupon program featuring discounts on meals at 23 choice restaurants throughout the area. Booklets are available at $30.
"The American Cancer Society ran a similar program over the past few years, but now they have decided to focus their energy on special events and other projects," says Page Smith, director of community outreach for hospice. "We contacted them for permission to take it on, and they gave us their blessing."
The program is a win-win proposition for all involved, says Ms. Smith.
