The upper Rush River, the Piney River, the Hughes River, and the Thornton River where it crosses into Culpeper county have had monitoring sites selected by interested people. ■ There are many streams that need people to monitor them and sites can be located on different portions of the same river. If you want to monitor a river or if you have a stretch of river that you would let someone monitor, call the 4-H office or Hunt Harris. *

A video tape on stream mopitoring and how to identify plants and animals in a healthy stream will be shown at 10 a m. on Saturday, Dec. 14, at the 4-H office.
