; By CINDY MAHAN J , Rappahannock News Staff Writer i Coach Eugene Baltimore said that if his team plays like they did in a scrimmage with Handley last .Saturday, they will win a lot of games ithis season. ; Overall they played well, he said, and everyone had a chance to play. Though they played five quarters, losing three and winning two, they lost by one point overall, said the coach. "Every quarter was close,” he added.
All of the front players on the [team are underclassmen and none has ;played a varsity game before, said ■Coach Baltimore. They are still adjusting to playing varsity, but the coach was very impressed with their playing ability. "We got a lot of easy baskets," he said. He was also pleased with their 'free throw shooting. ; "Jeff Atkins did real well," said the coach. So far Jeff has taken the leadership role. Daniel Settle and Jon Digges also played an impressive game.
