1996 Real Estate and Personal Property taxes are now due and must be paid on or before December 5, 1996 to avoid penalty. If you have not received a bill, please contact the County Treasurer's office at 540-675-3334. Failure to receive a bill through the mail does not relieve the taxpayer of any additional charges that will accrue under law for failure to pay within the prescribed time. Mailed remittance must be postmarked on or before December 5, 1996 to avoid penalty. Penalty for late payment is 10% of the tax after December 5th and 10% interest beginning January 1, 1997. 4th & 5th - 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.
