unce again i nanksgmng draws near. It is a reminder of the first event after the Pilgrims survived the bleak and bitter cold of their winter in New England. It is a scene made famous in that familiar painting of a Pilgrim family,
^ dressed in their stiff starched clothes and conical hats, being safely guarded by the father with his huge blunderbuss as they trudged through the snow to attend church...to give thanks.
In the spirit of that past Thanksgiving as we gather together to celebrate the many blessings to be shared with our family and friends, let us all offer a prayer of grace for a happy harvest of joys past, present, and future.
