If you're going to have a professional photographer take your holiday photo, be sure to schedule the shoot early in the season.
Photographers are busy during the holidays and are often booked weeks or months in advance. You also need to allow enough time to select proofs and have reprints made.
Many people don't have the time to write long personalized letters to each person on their holiday card list. Instead, they write a generic letter highlighting what they've done over the past year and have it photocopied. While some people may view this as tacky, it's becoming more and more accepted. If you go this route, make sure to include a personalized note to each recipient at the end of the letter. And remember to keep the letter brief. No one needs to hear about all your dental problems or the scores
