had sent a letter home Tuesday, but the situation was unclear and he waited until he had more definite information.
Anita Pumphrey said she has two children at the elementary school, a daughter and a nephew. She said they complained of sleeplessness, leg and stomach cramps, and nausea. She attributes that to their not being allowed to use the restrooms. When she called to complain and get more information, she said she was referred from one person to another without getting any answers, and she found out that last fall the water tested positive for fecal col; iform bacteria, and said parents were not informed about that either.
On Friday, she appeared at the elementary school and made threatening • statements to Principal Raye Tupper. She moved down the road to the . School Board office and threatened Dr. Gangel. He said the Sheriffs Office was called. Mrs. Pumphrey left; but Dr. Gangel said the school system is having her barred from school property because her behavior was frightening to children.
