Archie Clatterbuck
Rev. Archie Edward Clatterbuck, 80, died on Sunday, Jan. 26 at Maple Lawn Home in Mint Springs, Va.
Rev. Clatterbuck was bom on Oct. 22, 1916, in Sperryville to the late Ashby and Maggie Clatterbuck.
Rev. Clatterbuck retired from Arlington County Schools. He was founder and former pastor of Gid Brown Hollow Pentecostal Church. He also pastored Massanova Pentecostal Church, Raccoon Ford Pentecostal Church, Eggbomsville Pentecostal Church and Culpeper Full Gospel Church.
Rev. Clatterbuck was involved with missions for 29 years in the country of Mexico. During that time he founded Templo Horeb Pentescotes Iglecia. He hosted the Amissville Gospel Singers radio program for 33 years on Big K radio, WKCW in Warrenton.
Rev. Clatterbuck is survived by three daughters, Dorothy Foster of Gordonsville, Betty Hernandez of Castleton, and Ruth Hernandez of Culpeper; two son-in-laws, Jose Hernandez of Castleton and Antonio Hernandez of Culpeper.
He is also survived by seven grandchildren, Violet Wood of Orange, Lori Peregory and Daniel of Rapidan, Elvis Foster of Charlottesville, Marta Hernandez of Amissville, Tony and Angelita Hernandez of Culpeper and Hose Hernandez, II of Castleton and four great-grandchildren, John Wood, II, Michael Wood, Brittany Wood and Loren Peregory.
Additional survivors include two brothers, David Clatterbuck of Culpeper and Roy Clatterbuck of Bealeton; one sister, Lucille Gray of Culpeper and numerous nephews, nieces and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife of 53 years, Annie Virginia Clatterbuck; seven brothers, Elmer Clatterbuck, Harry Clatterbuck, Carroll Clatterbuck, Albert
