That time of year is upon us now as we think of the parts of our lives we would like to change. This list, long or short, becomes the resolutions we vow to ourselves and others. This article will focus on a three word resolution as it relates to our dietary (eating) practices.

Nutritionists have long used the words; Variety, Balance and Moderation in describing a personal positive approach to one's diet.

Picture the Food Guide Pyramid in your mind and how it is divided from the large bottom or base (breads, cereal and pasta) up to the next level (fruits and vegetables), then the milk and meat level.
