How boldly striking the irony of this dramatic natural phenomenon... glossy green ivy winding abundantly, disguising the knarled charcoaled ruins of this once massive tree destroyed by fire years before. What an inspiration! In everyday vernacular, we often hear the phrase, “getting burned” or treated unfairly. If the damage is deep, it may threaten to destroy the wounded spirit for a time...to leave a life in ruins. Yet, new life with God can grow around those ruins, eradicating all vestiges of wounded spiritual shells...“rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith..." (Col. 2:7) Attend your local church or synagogue this week. It is never too late to grow from the ruins of despair when you root your life in God.
