Rappahannock News SUrfT Writer " Saturday evening was a fun time in the lives of the church family at ;’Washington Baptist. The church host'ed a chili dinner and then down the Street to The Theatre for a Variety Show. And, were we ever in for surprises! The show was under the direction of past Broadway producer. Bob Scott. There were many acts, each had ■a special meaning and was enjoyed by all. Enough about the Variety Show lets talk about the chili. I contacted the head of the Kitchen Committee, Sandra Jenkins to get recipes. She gladly responded.
Sandra's Chili
2 teaspoons butter f 2 medium onions
2 pounds of hamburger
3 quarts of tomatoes - 1 small can of tomato paste
1/2 cup water V 1 teaspoon of salt
1 teaspoon of pepper
