charged by Va. State Trooper S.M. Knick with following too closely following an accident at the intersection of U.S. 522 and Route 647 in Flint Hill.
Douglas Ricketts, 42, of Flint Hill, was driving a 1979 Chevy pickup on U.S. 522 and was turning right onto Route 647 when the juvenile ran into the back of him with a Toyota station wagon. No injuries were reported. Mr. Ricketts's vehicle had $10 damage and the Toyota suffered $ 1500 damage.
Last Friday about 4 p.m., Cynthia Cumins, 38, of Sperry ville, hit a patch of ice on Route 681, 1.5 mile north of Route 231, and ran off the road to the right and ran into a tree. She was not injured, but her 1991 Mitsubishi suffered $1000 damage. Trooper Woodard investigated the accident.
