The family will receive friends on Wednesday, Jan. 29 from 7-9 p.m. at Found and Sons Funeral Home,* 850 Sperry ville Pike in Culpeper.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 30 at 11 a.m. at Found and Sons Chapel with Rev. Herbert Leach, Rev. Ronnie Sipes, Rev. Howard Blackburn and Rev. L.D. Savage officiating.
Pallbearers named are nephews, Gary Whorton, Forrest Whorton, Martin Whorton, grandsons, Tony Hernandez, Jose Hernandez, II and granddaughter, Lori Peregory.
Honorary pallbearers are Richard Compton, Jack Compton, Sillus Chapman, Johnny Bragg and Buddy Whorton.

Dorothy Bowers
Dorothy Mae Bowers, 71, of Lignum, died on Thursday, Jan. 23 at her residence.
She was bom May 30, 1925, in Rappahannock County.
She was a homemaker.
She was predeceased in death by her father, Addie Dodson; her motheF, Myrtle Dodson; her husband, John Russell Bowers and a son, Ashby ’Bowers, Jr.
She is survived by three daughter, Dottie Mae Fincham of Culpeper, Elizabeth Ann Blankenbaker* of Manassas and Janet Marie Thorpe of Lignum; two sons, Robert Lee Bowers and John Russell Bowers, Jr., botlC oJ Culpeper, 22 grandchildren and 27 great-grandchildren.
She is also survived by a sister, Marthie Bowers of Centreville. j.
Funeral services were held on Sunday, Jan. 26 at the Clore-Geest Funeral Home in Culpeper with the Rev. William Smith. . - !
