Students at Rappahannock County Elementary and at Rappahannock County High School are busy getting their science projects ready for the Rappahannock Science Fair which will run Feb. 6-7. The public is invited to visit the Science Fair from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. and from 5 to 7 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 6.
Students are investigating all kinds of topics. For example, Tatiana Siccardi is studying cloud formation. Jeff Simeon is investigating the formation of tornadoes. B.J. Christian is sharing the results of his survey on "Why Rappahannock Doesn't Have a Football Team." Jennifer Waters is investigating the results of Miracle Gro on seed germination.
Joshua Waddell's "Heads or Tails" experiment is determining whether planaria regenerate their heads or tails faster. Emily Sims is surveying people to discover if certain personality types are drawn to certain types of professions.
