Baseball Camp
Being Planned
The second annual Donn Hackney’s Rookie Baseball Camp will be held this year at Rappahannock County High School from June 16-June 20.
This program was a huge success last year and hopes to be even better this year. A half day program for children ages 5-8 who are young to the baseball world and need instruction in the development of basic skills. A low student/coach ratio will allow for individualized attention. Daily awards, games, fun and a T-shirt make for an exciting week.
Due to extreme interest, a second camp has been added this year — the first annual Donn Hackley’s Youth Baseball Instructional Camp. This weeklong camp is designed to target children between the ages of 9-12 who already have skill and experience in the basic fundamentals of the game, but want to improve their play. The camp will run from June 23-June 27 at Rappahannock County High School.
Students will go through classes on hitting, bunting, pitching and catching, infield and outfield training and many specialized drills. Special technique sessions will be featured. Camp will run from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. daily and will include a T-shirt. Registration deadline is June 16.
