Over 48,000 parents contacted SchoolMatch’s Columbus (Ohio) office in 1996 after learning about the service from their corporate human resource office or through impartial media sources such as NBC’s “Today Show,” USA Today, Business Week, Good Housekeeping, CNN, Money Magazine, The Wall Street Journal, Newsweek, Parents Magazine and local news reports.

A search of the twenty-two field SchoolMatch Database reveals that only 10 percent of the nation’s public schools consistently provide “What Parents Want” in public education.

The recognition of the Rappahannock Schools is no accident. School personnel have worked hard to foster student achievement, individual success, and to focus on parental satisfaction. Part of the school system’s vision is to be the school of choice. The system’s goal is to have parents choose to have their children in the county’s public schools because they sincerely believe that it is the best educational option for their children. With this goal in mind, the school system has focused on meeting parental expectations for the education of their children.
