Vacation Bible School for Amissville United Methodist Church is being planned for July 14-18 and is called “Celebrate Jesus.” It will be held each day from 9 a.m. to 12 noon.
Amissville Volunteer Fire and Rescue will hold their contestants’ carnival June 25-28. The winners of the Little Miss (ages 3-7), the Junior Miss (ages 8-13), and the Queen (ages 14-20) will be based on the number of tickets sold. The Gum family enjoyed the company of our special friends, Donna, Larry, Sr., Sandy and Larry Oliver, Jr. Saturday, May 17. (I lucked out since Donna brought over her delicious lasagna and Randy and Larry, Sr. had clean-up detail!)
