The public is invited to see the premiere performance of “Rumble in the Mountain, A Geological Fable of Conflict and Resolution” on Friday and Saturday, May 30 and 31 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rappahannock County High School Auditorium.
Twelve students have been working since January to write this original drama under the guidance of Cindy Cupains, English teacher, and Artist-inResidence Laurie Marshall. Other students have also contributed to the writing, along with 60 classmates who paihted three 16 by 8 inch murals that are part of the play. Over 25 students are performing in the tale that uses earthquakes as a metaphor for conflict and takes place in a mythical rural community.
