lb streamline in state field trips, Gangel said he would try to get applications to the board on the consent agenda, instead of dealing with items individually. As it stands the board must review each field trip and fundraiser prior to their being able to take place, but if they are on the consent agenda routine field trips would be handled by the administration. Overnight and out-of-state trips will still require specific board approval.
Helen Williams presented a summary of the Governor’s SummerQuest Program for 80 fifth, sixth and seventh graders from four counties that was held at RCES this summer. This was the tenth year it was held in Rappahannock and they enjoyed being at the RCES so much Williams asked to hold SummerQuest there again next summer instead of at RCHS.
Mike Tupper, RCHS assistant principal, did a survey of 384 students in grades 6 through 11, dividing the sports seasons into fall, winter and spring. He said students were asked to choose one sport in
