RLEP celebration planned
Come celebrate Rappahannock County’s scenic beauty and mountain heritage at the annual gathering of the Rappahannock League for Environmental Protection on Friday, Oct. 24 at 7:30 p.m. at the Sperryville fire hall. Blue grass music will be provided by the Page County Ramblers. Win a free dinner for two at The Inn at Washington in the $5 per ticket raffle. Admission is free and the event is open to the public.
Silent auction scheduled
The staff of the RCHS newspaper, The Rapport, will be sponsoring a silent auction at parent-teacher conferences Thursday, Oct. 23 from 2 to 5 and 6 to 8 p.m. Some of the gifts donated by local businesses include lunch for two at Mountainside Market, earrings from Chris’s Chop, a savings bond from F&M Bank, lunch for two at Blue Moon Cafe, a ceramic bowl from Talk of the Tbwn and many more. Proceeds will go toward publication costs and the purchase of much needed equipment. If anyone would like to make a donation, please call Cindy Cummins at 987-8575.
Band Boosters to meet
The Rappahannock Band Boosters will meet at 7:30 p.m. at the Rappahannock County High School Library on Thursday, Oct. 23. Dr. David Gangel will be speaking. All are invited.
