Fall festival dinner set
The Sperryville Volunteer Rescue Squad is sponsoring its annual Fall Festival dinner on Saturday, Nov. 1 from 5:30 to 8 p.m. at Rappahannock Elementary School. Come early, stay late, bring a date and have a feast of roast turkey, dressing, mash potatoes, gravy, peas, garden salad, homemade biscuits and a variety of desserts and beverages. Prices are adults $8 and children eight and under $4. The meal will be prepared by pat Jenkins and Company.
Book Fair scheduled
Rappahannock County Elementary School Library is currently hosting a Scholastic Book Fair and will continue through Monday, Oct. 27. The Book Fair will be open from 8:15 a.m. until 4 p.m. each school day, and open until 8 p.m. on Thursday, Oct. 23 to coincide with the Parent Teacher Conference.

Halloween activities planned
The Rappahannock Farmers Association and the Rappahannock Athletic Association presents a haunted bam and hay ride at Hungry Run Farm on South Poe’s „ Road. Healing Arts activities
Weekly Life Enrichment series will continue Oct. 23 from 7 to 9 p.m. More About Shiatsu will be the topic. Jeff Hazel will share information and hands-on technique on the ancient oriental system of Shiatsu to stimulate the energy system. Dan Lewis will be assisting. On Oct. 30 the series will continue with Creating a Positive Future Using Self-Hypnosis.
The Healing Place presents “Healing the Wounded Child Within” on Oct. 25 and 26 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. daily. This transformative inner work is based upon and modeled from the process offered in John Bradshaw’s book, entitled, Homecoming - Reclaiming and Championing Your Inner Child. The event is facilitated and supported by Bertha Scholten and Carol Lucking.
