Commission vice-chair Tom Junk said the commission should look at the issue as part of the ordinance review they have already planned to do.
The commission did approve the application for consideration by the County Board of Zoning Appeals subject to Department of Health approval. Commission member Susan Babcock said she would like it added to the minutes that in spite of their mandate the commission had made it clear that they do not agree with the principle of treating single family structures and mobile homes the same.
McCarthy also told the commission he had drafted its mission statement and wanted their input. There were some changes made to the draft and McCarthy will bring it back next month when the chair, Sharon Pierce, will be present to discuss it.
