So poised and confident...no sign of worry or fear...this equinine creature of God seems to be sure of his next meal and a place to sleep when night falls. How can a horse understand trust in the Creator?

An animal has peace of mind because he does not know doubt or depression or anxiety. Those are learned emotions, common unfortunately to humankind. Yet, notice that in His word, the Creator simply denounces worry and doubt as a lack of faith in Him who made us. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Therefore we will not fear...though the mountains shake in the heart of the sea. Be still and know that I am God." Psalm 46

Be still in God’s house this week as you meditate upon His word. Give your worries and despair to your Heavenly Father. Depart with a strength born of trust and a poise born of peace.
