Siving into Spring

Summerfest planned
The Jefferson Ruritan Club is sponsoring the Village of Jeffersonton Summerfest '98 commemorating the 200th anniversary of Jefferson. It will be held on Saturday, June 20, rain or shine from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the grounds of the Jeffersonton Community Center in Jeffersonton. Admission is free. There will be crafters and other exhibitors, a yard sale, baked goods, good food and refreshments. For more information, to rent a booth or set up an exhibit call 937-5119.
Drafting courses offered
The Middletown Campus of Lord Fairfax Community College will offer two courses this summer in Computer Aided Drafting using AutoCAD Release 14 software. Both of these courses begin on May 27 and meet on Monday and Wednesday evenings.
The first course, EGR 110, is designed for students with little or no drafting background. Emphasis is on fundamentals of drafting using both manual and computer techniques. This three credit course meets from 5 to 7:30 p.m.
The second course, DRF 231, is designed for students with a background in drafting and/or blueprint reading. This course assumes no prior computer experience. Upon successful completion of the course, the student will have the computer skills necessary to prepare a two dimensional, full dimensioned, three view drawing with notes and material list. This three credit course meets from 7:30 to 10 p.m.
