The finance committee reported that a treasury note will be coming due and recommended the money be put into a one-year note and the remaining shares used to buy stock. The board approved a motion that the funds be put into a one-year T-bill for $15,000 and the rest to purchase 100 shares of Union Carbide stock.
There was no report from the personnel or policy committees and the building and grounds committee reported that they had been unable to do much of the grounds work due to the recent heavy rainfall.
A letter from County Attorney Peter Luke advised the board that the library title policy is set and there is no need for any other action on the board’s part except to make sure the current trustees are named and -certified as regards the title.
There was some discussion about whether or not the library should have a notary but the issue was tabled until next month.
