Mrs. Cooke was born May 22, 1914 in Castleton, daughter of the late Callie Amos and Adelaide Moore Sours. She was a homemaker. Mrs. Cooke was also a member of the Limeton United Methodist Church, and the Limeton United Methodist Church Womens Society.
She was married to the late Ira Richard Cooke.
Surviving are six daughters Janice E. Strollings of Front Royal, Jane Studley of Fredericksburg, Helen J. Cleary of Spring, Texas, Ronnee Manuel of Front Royal, Charlene D. Collins of Huntly, and Rhonda W. Henderson of Stephens City;
