Athletic banquet planned
The Rappahannock County High School Athletic Department will be holding their annual athletic banquet at 6 p.m. on Wednesday, May 27. The menu will consist of spaghetti, salad, bread and dessert. Tickets are on sale in the office for $5 per person and children under six are free. All tickets must be purchased in advance.
Sperryville sets carnival dates
The Sperryville Volunteer Fire Department will hold their annual carnival June 3, 4, 5 and 6. The parade will be held on Thursday, June 4 at 7 p.m. For entry information contact Richie Lillard at 987-8952.
The newly formed Sperryville Ladies Auxiliary will be in charge of selling food and baked goods for the carnival. Anyone interested in donating items should contact Teresa Wayland or Michelle Jenkins. The community is urged to support this annual event.
Advisory committee to meet
The Special Education Advisory Committee of Rappahannock County Public Schools will meet at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday, May 28 in the modular building of Rappahannock County High School. Chair Sherry HamillHuff invites all interested persons to attend this final meeting of the year.
