Regarding the horses themselves, my advice is to look at the horse before placing a bet in the race. This sounds elementary, but you’d be surprised at how few people ever look at the horse that is carrying their cash.

Does the horse exude good health? Does it gallop off at a good clip, ears pricked, coat gleaming, and with a fluid stride? Successful —chasers look different to me than regular racehorses. They seem rangier and more powerful. Your horse should look the part.
