Clarification is needed for
the Rappahannock News’ coverage of the Aug. 27 Sperryville Gateway meeting.
The article stated that “the participants never did decide which of Sperryville’s many problems needed to be addressed first.” On the contrary, the group’s choice as the first problem to address was the lack of funding for improving the transportation infrastructure of Sperryville. Obtaining funding is the first step in easing and speeding the accomplishment of most of the other goals on the list.
Also, the vision statement for the Sperryville Gateway Community is very carefully worded and to paraphrase it only serves to misconstrue its message. Yes, the vision
