John Henry Woodward served before 'as Rappahannock County Sheriff. He would like to serve the county in that capacity again.
Woodward, a life long resident of the county, worked for the Sheriff’s office for 15 years including 12 years as Sheriff until 1996. He is seeking the position once more because he finds it “fulfilling to be doing something for the county. I believe I can still serve the county well.”
Including his time with the Sheriff’s Office, Woodward worked 28 years for the county. He has also volunteered for the Castleton Volunteer Fire Company for 33 years, serving the last 17 as chief.
A 1965 graduate of Rappahannock High School, Woodward served for two years in the Army. Although his schooling
