For the second year in a row, Headwaters, the Rappahannock County Public Education Foundation, was thrilled to be able to present the Academic Awards Reception at Rappahannock County High School. The event took place at 7 p.m. Wednesday, June 2.
Following opening remarks by Headwaters chairman Paul Gall and assistant Superintendent Mary Anne Biggs, over 50 well deserving and dedicated high school students were presented with 65 different awards by their teachers. Many of these students also received Rappahannock Scholar awards. The awards went not only to those with high grade point averages, but also to students who had demonstrated a willingness to give their all as they worked toward academic excellence.
