The Amissville Baptist Church will hold their Vacation Bible School from June 21 through June 25, 9 a.m. until 12 with the theme “Son Castle Faire”. Vacation Bible School is for all community children ages three years through sixth grade. Come out to the pre registration “Village Faire Carnival” on Saturday, June 19 from 3 p.m. until 5 p.m.

I know we need the rain, however, I hope it rains like crazy this week so we can have nice weather for the Amissville carnival beginning June 23. The carnival will run from June 23 through the 26. The parade begins at 7 p.m. on Thursday, June 24. You may want to get to the parade on U. S. 211 a little early to have a good spot to park and watch the parade. Friday, June 25 at 8 p.m. will be the crowning of the new queen and her court. If you haven’t bought a ticket, the girls will be selling the raffle tickets during the carnival on Wednesday and Thursday nights. Saturday is the drawing for the raffle and you do not need to be present to win.
