New trial date
set for Baldwins
Danny and Bonnie Sue Baldwin are scheduled to appear in US District Court on Sept. 20 on charges stemming from Operation SOUP (Special Operation to Uncover Poaching), conducted by federal authorities back in January. The charges against them include bear poaching, sale of illegally taken wildlife, firearms charges against Bonnie Sue Baldwin. All told, Operation SOUP resulted in the arrest of 25 individuals for various wildlife violations.

June 2, James C. Graves of Madison County and William Yeager of Somerset were convicted of misdemeanor charges related to SOUP and sentenced to probation and fines. Graves faces trial on felony charges this fall.
