A College Ministry Team will be conducting creative worship services at the Washington Baptist Church June 27-30 at 7:30 p.m. and the public is invited. For more information call the church office at 675-3336.

Sculpture classes scheduled

Two summer sculpture classes will be taught by Charles Flickinger at Oldway art Center in Sperryville. A Figure in Clay class will be held June 16 - Aug. 4 on Wednesday evenings from 6:30 to 9:30. Cost is $200 and includes model and materials fee for eight sessions. The other class, Portrait Bust in Clay will be held June 16 - Aug. 4 on Wednesday from 12 to 3 p.m. The cost is $200 and includes model and materials fee for eight sessions. “Essential Etcetera ”

The Middle Street Gallery will be showing two and three dimensional works by Gary Colson, Jeanne Drevas, Nina Moore and Chris Stephens. Paintings, mummies and cocoons, handmade paper, landscape inspired reliefs are featured. They incorporate plaster, clay, fiber, acorns, coffee cans, trompe l’oeuil techniques; you name it. The show runs now through June 27. Hours are Friday through Sunday from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. For more information call 987-3113

Workshop, classes planned

A weaving workshop sponsored by Yam and More has been scheduled for June 26 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Quilting classes begin July 5 from 7 to 9 p.m. The class will meet for five consecutive Mondays. Cost for weaving workshop and quilting classes is $60. Contact Ellen Manson to register, 675-1350. Registration deadline is June 11 for weaving and June 16 for quilting.
