The Rappahannock County Sheriff’s Office received reports of two larcenies last week. An Echo chain saw and McCullough weed eater were found missing on June 6 from a residence on Lee Highway in Amissville.
On June 7, approximately $1500 worth of lumber was reported stolen from a construction site on Viewtown Road in Amissville. The materials were taken sometime between early April and June 3, when they turned up missing. The Sheriff’s Office is investigating both incidents.
Suspicious person
A resident in Chester Gap called the Sheriff’s Office after 11 p.m. on June 13 to report a suspicious car parked across the street. The headlights were off, and the driver was shining a flashlight in the person’s yard. The driver then shined the headlights in the yard and drove off.
The only description available of the car is that is silver and small. Anyone with further information on this vehicle is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Office.
Intoxication arrests
The Sheriff’s Office reported four arrests last week related to alcohol and/or drugs.
On June 8 shortly before 10:30 p.m., Deputy Andy Berry arrested 39 year-old Anthony Taylor. Taylor was charged with driving under the influence, driving on a suspended license, possession of marijuana and driving 73 in a 55 zone.
Berry arrested 40 year-old Kendall Mashburn just after 10 p.m. on June 12. Ms.
