A fine example of quality father and son time is the opportunity for a father to teach his son valuable lessons while enjoying the camaraderie of participating in a sporting game. Nowadays, the time for this opportunity is all too rare. Much like a game, life is a series of moves and events which are constantly evolving. In order to be successful in life we must develop a strategy and play according to some basic rules. Our Heavenly Father created the rules. In 2 Timothy 2:5, He tells us... “An athlete is not crowned unless he competes according to the rules.” It is good for fathers and their children to discuss God’s rules together, for all too soon they will be apart. Yet, wise words have a way of staying with our children, to guide them when they falter. Worship as a family each week. Practice makes perfect. Have a perfect Fathers Day.
