Education was the topic at a “Meet the Candidates” forum last week.
The non-partisan forum, held at the high school last Wednesday night, was endorsed by several local groups, including the Rappahannock County Education Association. Candidates for the Board of Supervisors spent two hours answering school-related questions from voters and educators.
The forum was low-key and the participants remained civil in their discussion of school issues. Turnout, however, was low — only about 65 people showed up for the event.
