• Saturday, Oct. 23: Women’s Hike Series, Destination: White Oak Canyon Falls, meet at Mountainside Market on U.S. 211 in Sperryville between 8:30 and 9 a.m. and car pool to the trail head, or meet in the White Oak Canyon parking lot, Route 600 in Berry Hollow by 9:30 a.m. Dress according to the weather of the day and bring food/water for self. Plan to return in the early afternoon. Remember to bring your Shenandoah Park pass or $5 for the trail usage fee. This hike marks the one year anniversary of the Women’s Hike Series. Classes at Yarn & More
A weaving workshop is scheduled to begin at Yarn & More on Oct. 23. Learn to warp a table loom, basic weaving structures and techniques on the table loom, and a whole new “language of weaving.” You do not have to own a loom to take the class. Looms, warping boards, and thread will.be available as part of the class fee. This is a two day workshop, Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day. Storytelling at Ki Theatre
“No Ordinary Person: An Evening of Autobiographical Storytelling” will be presented at Ki Theatre on Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. This is the third year of this highly popular series. The four storytellers this year will be Sallie Morgan (“Night at the Crisco Disco”), Jeanne Drevas (“Mindful Hand”), Joyce Abell (“My Father the Writer”) and Megan Hicks (“Monkey Blood”). This program is jointly sponsored by RAAC and Ki Theatre. Tickets are $10 at the door. Girls softball clinic set
Rappahannock Girls Little League Softball Coaches Susan Payne and Paul Gall will be conducting a fall softball program which will consist of fundamental skill development and drills for girls bom from Aug. 1, 1987 to July 31, 1993.
The clinic will be held Saturdays, Oct. 23 and 30 from 1 to 3 p.m. behind the Mountainside Market in Sperryville. Anyone with questions should call Paul Gall evenings, 937-5048, daytime 540-477-6227 or Susan Payne, 987-8090, evenings.
