The Sperryv'i I le Fire Department Auxiliary recently held a festival and pie contest ami would like to thank everyone who came out ,to support the event.
One of tin biggest' contests was that of the apple pie. First place went to 'Nina Peyton of Boston, second place to -John -Jenkins of Sperryville. and third placeto Tim Norman of Woodville
There also was a pumpkin pie contest and first place werit to Gertie Poling of Amissville.
In addition, a quilt contest yielded first place to ..Catherine Brown of .Sperryville
The Sperryville Auxiliary would like to thank DARE, the 4-H. and the Lions' Club for coming out and being a part of the festival. Furthermore, special thanks must he given to thc> {>ie judges for doing such a wonderful job. Larry Sherertz. Bob Anderson, and. Brooke- Fletcher.
