Hazel Beatrice Walters Stephenson, 96, died Monday, Oct. 11 at Culpeper Health Care Center in Culpeper.
She was born Sept. 12, 1903 in Bristol, Tenn., a daughter of Emmanuel Walters and Rhetta Hensen Walters.
In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband of 53 years, Samuel Edward Stephenson Sr.
She is survived by two sons, Samuel Edward Stephenson Jr. of Jacksonville, Fla. and George Clarence Stephenson of Sperryville; six grandchildren and ten greatgrandchildren.
Funeral services were held Friday, Oct. 15 at Akard Funeral Chapel in Bristol, Tenn.
