Jeanne as she sat at a table to the right of Miss Allen. Dennis Maloney, the director of photography, recognized Jeanne from the rough-cut film of the scene that had been photographed under his direction.
Jeanne, wife ^f the mayor of Jewell Hollow in Page County, at first was hesitant to take time form the Faith Mountain Store during the busy autumn season.
“Go ahead”, said Faith Mountain co-owner Martin Woodward, “It’s a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity. We’ll keep the doors open while you’re playing movie star.” ' “It was very interesting.” Jeanne Frink said in an interview. “We were instructed to bring five changes of clothing with us. The first day, a person from wardrobe had to approve each change. One morning they wanted me in a gray suit, which I didn’t have with me. I was sent to the wardrobe trailer and fitted with one of their choosing.”
“Each morning I had to go through makeup and hair styling. Because of my role as an assistant to Miss Allen’s character, the hair stylist was instructed to give me a severe look, which he did; either straight down the sides or pulled completely back.”
Asked about the working conditions on the set, Mrs. Frink said: “I learned that movie people work hard. The first morning, we had to be on the set at 6:30. In the first four days of shooting, I clocked 42 and a half hours, with time out for lunch.
