Wolf Trap artist, Marcia Daft will be presenting two workshops at an upcoming training for child care providers and early childhood educators. Ms. Daft is a musician and educator who has worked extensively with children to develop musicality and listening skills.
! One workshop, Play Your Ears, was created for preschool teachers with no prior musical training. The workshop introduces three specific techniques for incorporating music into everyday teaching.
-These strategies develop listening, motor, and abstract thinking skills, as well as enhance cultural awareness, language and vocabulary development.
