Mrs. Anne Gaines Tibbs Kendrick, 88, of Roanoke died Saturday, Oct. 2.
Mrs. Kendrick was a longtime member of Greene Memorial United Methodist Church and was a retired interior decorator.
She was the widow of William J. Kendrick Jr.
She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, William J. Kendrick II and Joan Kendrick of Sunnyvale, Calif., David A. Kendrick and Anne Kendrick of Vinton, Va.; five grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; a sister, Jean Braun of Cincinnati, Ohio; several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Kendrick was a sister-in-law of the late Mrs. Roberta Massie Spalding of Flint Hill and was a frequent visitor in the county.
Funeral services were held at Green Memorial United Methodist Church in Roanoke on Wednesday, Oct. 6 with the Rev. Robert L. Watts and the Rev. Walter M. Lockett Jr. officiating. Interment followed in Prospect Hill Cemetery in Front Royal.
