supervisor Roger Welch could not attend, but sent copies of his responses to the Education Association’s questions.

Some of the issues raised included new revenue sources for the schools, arts and athletics programs in the county, and the relationship between the Board of Supervisors and the School Board.

Several high school students (from Mrs. Grimes’ government class) attended the forum. Overall, they gave the candidates good marks.

“I liked hearing their views on athletics,” said senior Frank Para tore, who said that the forum included a good sample of the candidates’ thoughts.
