Following his formative years in Rappahannock County, where he attended the Scrabble Elementary School, Mr. Warner continued his education in the public schools of the District of Columbia and Peters Business College where he received an Associates degree in Business Administration. Graduate studies include courses taken at American University, George Washington University and the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Graduate School. In addition, Mr. Warner has completed numerous professional seminars in the fields of economics, government and public resource management and analysis.
He has demonstrated his personal commitment to education and public schools by his involvement as a previous President of Home and School, and Vice President of the Parent Teachers Association (PTA), where he served as Chairman, Budget and Finance Committee.
In Rappahannock County, Mr. Warner has served on the Superintendent's Advisory Committee on School Facilities. He is involved in the Mentoring program and conducts a weekly chess clinic at the Elementary School; is a volunteer with the Drug and Alcohol Resistance Education (DARE) program; and has served as a substitute bus driver since 1989.
