The school will apply to ’ several foundations for fund- 1 ing to do the conversion, but is - still seeking a donated diesel tractor to use.
• Upper schoolers in Miranda Hope’s class are combining study of U S. History and U.S. Literature from the • Civil War to W’orld War I. The students worked very hard1 rehearsing the three modern' comedic one-act plays they* presented to a very appreciative audience and great;, applause at the Hoot.
• In Marguerite Dunn’s' Culinary Arts class the students each brought in a vegetarian recipe to cook and the1 class will create a cookbook» based on the recipes. Ms. < Dunn’s crafts students are learning to knit: those who' already know how are doing* cross-stitching and crocheting.
• Ms. Dunn’s Anatomy, class is studying and sketching the ears, tongue, and eyes. Ms. Dunn also teaches a Life. Skills class for teenagers, in which the students discuss their lives and experiences^ and work through challenging issues.
• Dontez Harris and Beth Levick spent much of themonth preparing their musicl classes for performances at' the Hoot, and will now turn1 their attention to musical performances scheduled for endof-year events.
