The recent Headwaters’ report on the Local Composite Index says that Rappahannock County Public Schools is missing $651,000 in State aid because of the way the State “Local Composite Index” is calculated.
On the surface — but not full reality — the problem is that we have too much land taxed at “land use” value, and too little in conservation easement.
Please join the Rappahannock County Conservation Alliance at our annual meeting on Sunday, November 3 to explore this problem. The meeting is open to all citizens, and will be held at the “old Sperryville School,” aka “Sperryville Emporium,” aka “Faith Mountain store.”
