and diners, to populate an ambiance. There is one chef with tarts, and another on a beach watching the tide roll in. Quietly emerging in the collection are works inspired by the Blue Ridge, where the artist recently acquired a second home.
Viviane de Kosinsky, artist and printmaker, is an internationally known miniaturist with membership in numerous miniature societies. She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and received a scholarship for a Masters Degree in Printmaking from the Villa Schifanoia in Florence, Italy, with further studies at the International Graphics Institute in Venice.
Group exhibitions have included the Royal Society of Etchers, the International Graphic Arts Foundation, New York, the Connecticut Graphic Arts Center and the Sharon Arts Center Invitational in New Hampshire. Honors have included First Prize awards from the New Mexico Miniature Arts Society, the Nevada Artists Association, the Florida Miniature Arts Society, the Miniature Painters, Sculptors and Gravers Society of Washington, D.C. and the Judge’s Award from the Bleecker Street Juried Excellence Exhibition, New York. She currently maintains a studio at the Tbrpedo Factory Art Center in Old Town, Alexandria.
