Blue Ridge Fruit Growers Cooperative at Sperryville processors of famous Skyline Drive Brand apple juice, has installed new press at the plant for extracting the juice from apples.
From Chester Gap comes news of the first snow flurries of the season. Early Monday morning the brisk winds that whipped the mountain tops brought with them a dusting of snow.
Paul Daniel Hawkins, son of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Hawkins of Woodville, has recently been elected treasurer of the Bob Jones University Ministerial Association for the 196061 school year. The university is located in Greenville, S.C. Mr. Hawkins is a junior enrolled in the school and is working toward a bachelor of arts degree with a major in Bible.
Pfc. Edward Anderson, son of Mr. and Mrs. Carson Anderson of Washington has returned to his home after serving two years with the Armed Forces in Germany.

In typical county fashion, the Farm Bureau members of Rappahannock have always said that “our children are our most important crop.” Following this up when they heard the local youngsters were in need of a track, they came forward in their customary, generous way and contributed.$1,000 to the track fund. Farm Bureau President Ian Pryde presented track fund treasurer C.E. Johnson Jr. with a check Monday.
In a featured photo, Rappahannock Lions Cub apple sales booth was manned last Sunday afternoon by R. Ashton Baines and Tom Eddins.. Streams of tourists out to admire the changing leaves drove by on Route 211 and enough apple fanciers stopped during the three weekends of the Lions sale to leave Club coffers $1,935 richer.
