the ball out of the net. Noel and Emma Hathaway both have great kicking ability and have continually cleared the ball out of our end of the field this year. Nothing would be possible up front without their support in the back field. Kara Corbin had another great game but this time on the defensive wing. Like Emma and Noel in the middle, she continually moved up in support of our midfield and forwards and swung back when she had to protect goal.
Kendra Settle had a great second half. She found her groove at midfield and was laying off beautiful touches left and right. Her passes were always to a teammate, what we call "passing with a purpose", and kept the action moving towards Madisons goal.
Our next two games are against, perhaps, the best team in our division, Fluvanna, and will be a real test of the team’s ability. Go Dynamite!
U-14
Rappahannock Fire played a great match last Monday night against Madison. It was a well played match in both directions. While the teams were fairly even in skill and ball movement. Rapp Fire just seemed to be a bit more on their game. It was a match focused on good play and individual skill, no infractions were called during the entire match. This was surprising since much of the action was in the midfield transition game.
